Dili – (20th of February 2024), the public employees are the state apparatuses obliged to understand the history of fighting for independence. Although there was no struggle, we must learn and understand the history to serve people properly within this independence.

Janio Tilman, one of the lectures from UNTL as well as a participant, presented this issue in the General Induction Training Activity organized by the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), held in INAP’s Auditorium, Comoro, Dili.

He explained that public employees must learn and understand past histories to show identities or roots where we belong as a nation. History shows us the identity of where we are from. Why do we gain it? What will we prepare for the future? It is important history for us to learn and to strengthen the spirit of nationalism as a Timorese.

“I thanked CNC for continuing to ensure and preserve the history, not only at the presentations but in the official documents and historical sites preserved as well. It is helpful for the coming generations and employees to serve people properly”. Said the lecturer to CNC media at INAP, Tuesday, 20/02/2024

“I can see the presence of Centro Nacional Chega!I.P and its training, particularly Timor-Leste’s history good to remember the struggle for this independence and to fulfill this independence with the power of nationalism and patriotism it must go on”, he explained.

It reminds all that being the employees to work thoroughly as this land was not easy-won. As long as it has gained the bright, our contribution requires us to fill this independence. If we would like to work, we must respect our heroes of the nation.

At this opportunity, I thanked CNC as I could access some CNC documents. It helps to do some reading on our history of Timor-Leste related to Chega! Report.

He suggested that “digitalizing the preserved documents as today is world technology. People are around in the digital era. It is too heavy for people to carry Chega! Book and reports. If possible, digitalize these documents so people can access them online or on CNC’s website, as well as the video “Dalan ba Dame” displayed. I think it is preferable. These documents are placed on the property sites or websites so people living within this country may assist, as well as Timorese in England, Korea, and Australia where their children are born, who do not know the history, can access through online and increasing their both nationalism and patriotism spirits.

As now is the digitalization era, CNCs need to readjust the manual documents and digitalize them for public access more easily at any place or worldwide accessible.
