Dili – (08th of January 2024), Centro Nacional Chega!I.P held an annual evaluation and retreat of 2023 with the theme of “Recover, Reform, Reinforce”. Besides, CNC also developed the operational plan, the execution plan, and the Procurement plan, the budget adjustment of activities implementation for 2024.
Before conducting the evaluation, Member of Council Administration, Rev. Arlindo Marçal, invited the structures or boards and the officials to have a Minute of Silence dedicated to the deceased Sisto dos Santos, a Member of Council Administration, as he is unable to work this 2024 anymore with Centro Chega!
A member of the Council Administration added a minute of silence to the deceased Sisto dos Santos as he was gone to the Holy Place of God in 2023, 17th of March. We were brothers having the same spirit of contribution to Centro Nacional Chega!I.P.
“I want to invite everyone for a Minute of Silence for our deceased friend, Sisto dos Santos, who is not with us now. However, we considered that we were brothers and had the same spirit. A Minute of Silence to remember our relatives who were not with us”. Said Rev. Arlindo in his annual evaluation and retreat of the 2023 opening, held at the Centro Chega Conference Room, Antigo Comarca Balide, Dili.
The Reverend explained that a Minute of Silence is dedicated to the martyrs as they are not with us. They have gone to the other side of the world.
Sisto ran his duty as a Council of Administration Member of Centro Nacional Chega!I.P from July 2020. He was a Civil Society Organization Representative.
The deceased Sisto, a Timor-Leste Human Rights Activist, felt untired fighting and defending Timorese Human Rights and Justice. He was a determined person who had the mission to defeat Timor-Leste’s Injustice, mainly marginalized and vulnerable Timorese.
Being a human rights activist, Sisto stood at any action frontline fought and defended East Timor’s sovereignty for Timorese’s better life. The deceased Sisto not defended human rights actions only but also became a voice of Timor-Leste for other countries’ independence, such as Palestine, Sahara, and Myanmar. He also kept his international solidarity spirit to the burdened nation and its people.
