Dili – (08th of December 2023), the Vice Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Aderito Hugo da Costa, took his position as a Vice Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of the Ninth Constitutional Government 5 months already observed that Centro Nacional Chega!I.P as a specialized institution for Timor-Leste memory preservation.
The Vice Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, H.E. Aderito Hugo da Costa, expressed this matter in his remark during the book released entitled, “The Resistance and Popular Song in the Period of 1980-1999 Occupation” held in Jardim 5 de Maio, in the context of the 5th Popular Resistance Culture Festival.
The Vice Minister added Centro Chega!I.P is an important institution in Timor-Leste that focuses on two essential points such as Centro Chega!I.P is a specialized institution for Timor-Leste memory preservation, and as the institution for the promotion of solidarity with the past most vulnerable survivors.
“My observation as a member of the government during 5-month, I might say, it is a relevant specialized entity for Timor-Leste Memory Preservation and the Promotion of solidarity with the past most vulnerable survivors”, said the Vice Minister in his remark during the book released entitled, “The Resistance and Popular Song in the Period of 1980-1999 Occupation” held in Jardim 5 de Maio, in the context of the 5th Popular Resistance Culture Festival.
He argued that even though there are lots of various institutions in Timor-Leste. However, the activities of Centro Chega! are always different from other institutions. Therefore, the state is committed to supporting Centro Chega! for the future.
Only within the proper entity, among all activities, they have. However, Chega! is an entity of the state that preserves two issues mentioned earlier, which are worthy and appropriate spaces for the state to keep support. He declared.
The state of Timor-Leste keeps supporting Centro Chega!I.P is to encourage the initiatives of promoting the material and immaterial of cultural patrimony for our collective memory safeguarding.
